Incorporated in this is the ability to use the N/C output as an N/O alarm output. The alarm output operates when the sensor’s excess gain in the light condition becomes marginal (drops to 1-1.5x). The load for both outputs must not exceed 150mA._x000D_ The fixed field units compare the reflection of the sensor’s emitted light beam from an object to two differently aimed detectors in the sensor head. This enables the sensors to detect an object that is only a short distance directly in front of another object or background, this distance can be as low as a few mm_x000D_ Retro-reflective models have a special lens which polarises the emitted light and filters out unwanted reflections, making these sensors useable in applications otherwise unsuited to retro-reflective sensing._x000D_ The ac units are fitted with a solid state SPST relay capable of switching up to 300mA (continuous)_x000D_
